The Jasper Road P&C Committee have produced a Cookbook!
This is a fund raising initiative by the P&C for the school.
The Cookbook is currently selling in time for Christmas; it will make a great Christmas gift!
As a taster, here are some selected recipes from the cookbook . . . .
- Spicy Mince on page 61
- Chicken Casserole with Olives, Prunes and Capers on page 72
- Dirt Cake on page 220
In true Jasper Road style, the response to this inituative has been overwhelming. The cookbook contains over 200 recipes, nearly 100 illustrations and is about 250 pages! It is quite a publication.
This has been a fabulous opportunity for the families and staff of Jasper Road Public School to showcase their cooking skills. We sought favourite recipes from students, family and staff members which were;
- use readily available ingredients
- are not overly expensive or complex to make
- are your own and have not been directly copied from a cookbook or other publication.
Given the number of responses, unfortunately not all the recipes could be included. Particually when we receiving several recipes that were very similar.
